
Samsung is releasing its latest Soul candy bar phone, the Samsung U800 in the UK in a purple version. Samsung plans to do this in an effort to raise awareness about Breast Cancer.
The purple color of the phone is the official color of Breakthrough Breast Cancer Organization, to which Samsung plans to donate 10GBP from each mobile sold. The organization is actively involved in raising awareness about Breast Cancer and Samsung has now joined hands with it.
The purple version of the Samsung U800 will have all the features of the original version. The phone comes with a tri-band GSM connectivity and HSDPA 2100.
Other features of the phone include a 3.15 Mega pixel camera with auto flash and video recording, Blue tooth 2.0 with EDR, Media Player, FM Radio with RDS and a 3.5 mm headset jack.
The Samsung U800 has a 2 inch TFT display with 16 million colors and 240 x 320 pixels resolution, Web and e mail capabilities, USB 2.0 along with a lot of other additional features.
The 111 x 46 x9.9 millimeter phone weighs 92 gms and will be exclusively available through Phones4U in UK from August first week.
The U800 will also be available in a silver version for those who do not want to go in for the purple one.
