 motorola_qa30.jpg

Motorola’s new handset is official and has a vibrant look to it. I wonder if the thought was to build a wallet size look alike. Giving the thougts some rest, Motorola seems to be setting a new trend here with QA30. Of late we have been seeing the QWERTY phones with horizontal sliders and Motorola QA30 might be the first to have a vertical sliding QWERTY keypad.

The set which comes in a shiny black color with a hint of red to it as seen here has a 2.5inch TFT LCD ( 240X320 ) screen, supports a 8GB MicroSD, stereo Bluetooth 2.0 plus integrated 3.5mm headphone jack and a sliding QWERTY keyboard. The QA30 will lend CDMA support, thread messaging support, have a 2 mp camera, HTML browser, Email, USB 2.0 and it is rumoured that it’s microSD/microSDHC card will support up to 32GB. The truth will be known only when the official specs are revealed to us.
The phone is being released in US alone. Reports state that the new ‘Q’ series device will be out in the US with Alltel as the operator. The dates and the pricing has not yet been revealed.

Motorola’s Latest Touchscreen Handset VE75 to be Available Soon

Motorola’s latest Touchscreen handset model VE75 will be available very soon in the Chinese markets. This release only strengthens the growing association between Moto and China. Moto had earlier released its Ming series A1600 and A1800 as also the the A810 candy-bar handsets exclusively for the Chinese markets.

VE75 is a slider phone which comes with a 2.6 inch TFT touchscreen display with 240×400 pixels resolution and 262k colors. The sliding alpha-numeric keypad is good as making calls is much easier than if it had just a touchscreen. Other features include a 2M camera with video recording, Blue tooth, USB, hands-free, Music and Video players, tri-band GSM connectivity with GPRS and EDGE and an expandable memory of up to 2GB.

The VE75 comes with dual SIM capabilities which is seen in a lot of handsets available in the Asian markets. It comes with a 850mAh battery that offers a talk-time of up to 6 hours. The stand-by time varies depending on whether you are using one SIM or both. In any case, it offers about 140 hours with both the SIMs and up to 190 hours with one SIM.

Looks wise, it is a bit bulky for even a slider phone as it measures 111.5 x 50.6 x 19.4 mm. But overall it looks very cool and attractive.
