Toshiba is known for their wide range of variety in mobile phone segment. VM4050 is another handset made by Toshiba which is one of the smallest handset in the market. The handset measures nearly 3.66″ x 1.89″ x .95”, hence it is extremely convenient to carry this device in pocket. The stub antenna, which is unusually located on the left hand set, has a whip extension that can be used to help pick up weak signals.
The handset has got a 4-way d-pad controller surrounding a button, a pair of soft-keys, and also a menu bottom at the top of the keypad. On the other side of the d-pad there are the call control buttons.
The built-in VGA camera is ideal for shooting still pictures at 640×480 or 320×240 resolutions, and it is also capable of recording video clips of up to 15 seconds in length. The picture quality is pretty decent for a typical camera phone.
