The GX17 is another Tri-band 900/1800/1900 MHz cellphone by Sharp mobiles. The handset GX17 is equipped with a 0.3 megapixel camera support for picture-taking as well as audio/video recording. It boasts an integrated MP3 player. For music and entertainment purpose it supports MP3 and MPEG4 both formats.The Sharp GX17 is a very slim and compact designed handset that measures around 45 x 106 x 17 mm and weighs merely 85 grams. The display resolution of the phone is 120 x 160 pixel which is ideal for small and smart phone.
In the left side of the unit there is a spacious volume rocker, while on the other side we find a dedicated camera button. There is nice LEDs which alerts users of new incoming messages, active network and missed calls. This is not common for all Sharp handsets and is not essential to pick up and activate the device to spot whether any alerts are waiting.
